Chief Operating Officer

Job Title:  Chief Operating Officer, Aston OD
Location:  National role with extensive travel
(you will be expected to work from our office in Farnborough, Hampshire at least 2 days per week)
Job status:  Permanent
Hours:  Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary:  £63,000 to £70,000 p.a., depending on experience
Closing Date: Wednesday 31st January 2018, 5pm
Interview Date: Tuesday 6th March 2018

About us

Since 2003, Aston OD has played an instrumental role in applying research into team effectiveness to shape day-to-day practice in many settings, most notably in the NHS.

The evidence is overwhelming, collective team based working is key to high quality and compassionate care. But resources are limited. That’s why our team tools – ranging from a simple team assessment to cross system team development – are designed to give teams responsibility for development, with support provided in-house.

Now, as part of Skills for Care, we are well-placed to make even more impact by developing our tools for inter-team working across boundaries in health, social care and related sectors.

About the role

You will lead our team of five permanent employees and a growing number of talented associates as we drive AOD to the next level of success.

Backed by Skills for Care, who acquired us in October last year, you will take on the strategic development, management and delivery of our evidence based tools and training programmes. You will manage client relationships, identify opportunities for increasing use of our tools and ensure great outcomes, as well as getting hands on with product development.

We are looking for a natural leader with a background in organisational psychology and/or organisation development, along with a track record in organisation, team or leadership development. Top candidates will have commercial acumen, excellent networking skills and the ability to engage effectively at senior levels.

This is a national role. You will be working from the Farnborough office in Hampshire at least two days per week and travelling or working from home for the remainder (so you’ll need broadband access at home).
